Do past mistakes and failures leave you feeling a low sense of confidence and self-worth? Do you ever wonder if you will ever be able to change, or if you will remain permanently mired in the unproductive patterns that have haunted you for years?
If so, it’s important to realize that it isn’t the circumstances that determine our success – they simply reveal what we are focusing on. They also reveal to us our most significant limiting beliefs and our present self-image.
What lies within us are Divine seeds of possibility and a connection to an unlimited Source of Intelligence, Power and Light that can guide us through any situation and enable us to succeed in any challenge.
What lies behind us and what lies before us may feel big and challenging merely because of the meaning that we’ve given to those circumstances. If we knew for certain that unlimited power and resources were at our fingertips, would we cower in the face of the future?
John Maxwell wrote:
“The difference between average people and achieving people is their perception of and response to failure.”
Our past failures don’t have to define the rest of our lives. Our choices aren’t who we are. They are merely choices that we made. How we see those failures and what we choose to learn from them will completely define our future ability to choose and to succeed.
Our Divine heritage is what defines us and our potential. Because of that heritage, we are always deserving of the very best. The challenge is in FEELING deserving and ALLOWING the very best to flow in our direction. We may become so stuck in the effort of growth that we forget to ALLOW Divine help. That enabling power of Grace is what always multiplies our inadequate gifts and efforts and unlocks success. Our full effort is just the catalyst to unlock the enabling power of grace.
Woody Allen once said that,
“90% of success is just showing up.”
Showing up in the present moment and giving our full effort with the calm assurance of receiving Divine help IS one of the most challenging first steps for all of us. However, this first step is the most important one. Once we take the first step into the unknown, the light tends to move out a bit further so that we can see the next step to take.
If you knew beyond a doubt that, “With God all things are possible,” would today’s challenges and the possible future loom so large? Think about it…
With that kind of power at your disposal, what next step can you take believing for certain that you have the power and resources necessary for success?
Believe in yourself and in the Power always available to you.
