Matt grew up in West Jordan, Utah and is the 4th of 9 children. His passion is playing sports, but especially enjoys playing basketball with his brothers. He is married to his wife, Cindy, and they have 3 children. He served a full-time mission in the south of France and is fluent in French. Spending time outside with his family, and working on his cars are among some of his favorite hobbies.
Matt received his bachelor’s degree from BYU-Idaho before attending Arizona State University to obtain his Masters of Social Work degree. He has experience working at an inpatient psychiatric hospital in Chandler, Arizona where he worked with acute adult and adolescent patients. He also worked in the housing department of the largest homeless shelter in Arizona.
Since graduation, Matt has been working full-time as a mental health therapist and currently works in Nampa, Idaho, working mainly with adults and teenagers.
His specialties include general mental health, trauma/PTSD, substance abuse, and addictions.
