Once upon a time, in a land far away, there lived a wise and compassionate teacher named Christ. He walked upon this difficult planet, spreading His teachings and guiding people towards love and righteousness.
However, His path was not an easy one. On His very first day, He encountered people who were resistant to His message. They threw insults and ridicule at Him, rejecting His teachings without understanding their true value.
Time and time again, Christ faced mistreatment and rejection. He gave his love and wisdom to those who did not appreciate it. In those early days, He often disappeared from the public eye, seeking solace and comfort in the presence of His Father.
Together, they would escape the harsh reality of the world, finding respite in simple joys like fishing and metaphorically playing pool.
During these moments of retreat, Christ would vent His frustrations and express His disappointment at the ignorance of the people he encountered.
His Father listened with empathy, understanding the challenges His son faced. They would share a drink or two (of cold lemonade), allowing themselves to momentarily forget the troubles that plagued them.
But amidst the relaxation and enjoyment, Christ’s Father would gently remind Him of his Purpose and Identity. He would explain that although it was tempting to isolate themselves from humanity, it was necessary for Christ to be involved and engaged.
The world needed His teachings and His Divine mission demanded His presence.

With a deep breath and renewed determination, Christ would commit himself once again to His purpose. He knew that teaching others correct principles was paramount, even if they seemed stubborn or unresponsive.
The world was filled with people who either despised Him, remained indifferent, or genuinely embraced His message.
Despite the mixed results and the emotional toll it took on Him, Christ never sought validation or feedback from those around Him.
He didn’t concern himself with what others thought of His sermons or teachings.
He simply didn’t care about human opinions that could distract Him from His Divine mission.
Imagine if someone were to offer Him feedback or critique his style of presentation. Christ’s response would be to ignore such remarks, perhaps responding with grace and reminding them that only those without sin should cast judgment.
He had no interest in people’s opinions of Him; his focus was on sharing the truth and embodying love.
However, it still hurt when people walked away or disregarded His teachings. Deep down, Christ desired for more people to embrace His message, but only a few truly understood and followed Him.
The emotional exhaustion He experienced was real, and He would seek solace once again with His Father, expressing His frustration and disappointment.
In this cycle of retreat, reflection, and renewed commitment, Christ found the fortitude and sanity to continue His mission. His resilience mirrored the parable of the sower, as He continued to sow seeds of wisdom, love, and redemption, even in the face of adversity.
He understood that not everyone would listen, but He persisted, knowing that His purpose was greater than the opinions of the world.
So, my friends, let us learn from Christ’s example of maintaining fortitude and sanity in this challenging world. Let us strive to stay true to our principles and purpose, even when faced with rejection and mistreatment.
And let us remember the words of the New Testament:
“But blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
(Matthew 5:10 NIV)
“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”
(Galatians 6:9 ESV)
